:::: Rotaract Club of Phnom Penh: Camping and Clean Environment ::::

I. Background:

Rotaract Club of Phnom Penh, initiated in 2000, is a voluntary club of young men and women from 18 to 30 year old who come together to serve the physical and social needs for their communities, widen their friendships and professional contacts, and augment their understanding of the world. It has 3 core programs: Service Project Development, Professional Development, and Leadership Development. We have been providing free of charge English, Morality, Culture, Environment and Origami lesson to poor children in Koh Krobey village of Kandal province. Rotaract Club of Phnom Penh organized a Camping and Environmental Cleaning at Sambo Prey Kob temple and Ko Hak Norkor temple on September 08 & 09, 2002 and various students from diffence university in Cambodia.

II. Activity:

On September 07 & 08, 2004 members of Rotaract Club of Phnom Penh had been camped at Kom Pong Thom province, It's a middle province in Cambodia, moreover Kom Pong Thom province is a province have a lot of culture fortunes and resorts such as Sam Bou Preay Ko temple, Ku Hak Norkor temple, San Touk mountain …. Sam Bou Preay Ko temple have wonderful statue and show about Khmer culture and civilization since in former times. It contact foreigner to visit there.

At 10:30am was arrival and have lunch at Sam Bou Preay Ko temple. After finish lunch at 11:30 and start to clean environment and visit in its, further more convinced every visitors have good feeling and good natural.

At 2:00pm finish activities at Sam Bo Preay Ko temple, rotaractors carry on trip to San Touk mountain. San Touk mountain is a mountain to located in Kom Pong Thom province and have more fortune natural around it. The summit of a hill have pagoda where a stone floated in the water.

On September 09, 2002 in the morning carried on a trip to Ku Hak Norkor temple. Ku Hak Norkor temple is a small temple but it has a lot of wonderful history. Rotaract Club of Phnom Penh joins to be curator and propagate widely to all of the people and other countries special all of rotaract club around the world.

III. Conclusion:

Overall, this project have been received the success and to be pride and no problem. It was a wonderful time together with sutdnets and Rotaractors alike. Having achieved this type of project will contribute to the process of achieving our vision of a “better trip ”. Thank you profound for students come to join this project.
